What happens if there is an enforced lockdown within the cancellation period?

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO GOVERNMENT MANDATED RESTRICTIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC In event of guest being directly affected by an official, Government mandated border closure, hot spot restriction or lockdown that affects your travel plans for the dates you are booked to stay at the resort, and your stay is within the period whereby a cancellation fee is normally charged (7 days in low season, 30 days in high and other peak periods, refer to terms for actual dates)  you may be eligible for a replacement holiday to be taken within 12 months.   Any replacement holiday will be for a similar stay (same room type, length of stay, seasonality, number of guests) as the original booking.   Should you wish to redeem your replacement stay with attributes different to the original booking, you may be able to do so however, additional costs may apply.  This will be advised at the time of reserving your replacement stay. Please note any reservation can be cancelled outside the cancellation period at no charge as per your rights under our normal cancellation policy. Please note, this offer does not alter the cancellation terms of your original bookings and is provided in good faith to assist those genuinely and directly affected by such restrictions.   This offer applies only to officially announced Government closures/lockdowns/hot spots and proof of residency details will be required to confirm guests are directly affected by the Government restrictions.   Does not apply to any non-affected reservations – the terms and conditions your stay was made under should be referred to.
